February Ipsy MyGlam Bag

New rule: every weekend should be a three day weekend. Yep, it’s gotta happen.

Saturday night we headed to Harbourfront Centre for DJ Skate night. It was -13 celsius and you would have never known. We skated outside in the dark, while a DJ played fun music. Such a great concept!

If only this photo was not so blurry. Love the CN Tower in the background.

So today I have the February Ipsy MyGlam bag to show you. This is the 2nd month I’ve received this bag, and I have to say it’s one of my new favourites. Ipsy is definitely more make-up focused than Glossybox or Glymm so it’s a nice change. The theme of the February Ipsy MyGlam bag is Red-Carpet Ready.

All Ipsy bags come in some sort of makeup bag and I like that they are different each month. This month’s was a black patent-leather.

A quick shot of the contents. Here’s the breakdown:

Ipsy Lash Card

Lash Card – $2.79 for sample pack of 4: I can’t say I’ve ever had an issue with my mascara smudging when I put it on. I still need to try these out, but they do seem to be a bit more of a hassle than they’re worth. Interesting concept I guess though.

Ipsy Pop Mascara

Pop Beauty Smokey Lash Kapow Mascara – full-size! $18.50: This is a completely waterproof mascara that is also fiber-free for sensitive eyes and contact wearers! I love that as I do wear contacts and hate anything irritable near my eyes.

MICA Beauty Gel Eyeliner

MicaBeauty Gel Eyeliner – full-size too! $35.00: I have never used a gel eyeliner before. I’m looking forward to testing this out because I love eyeliners that go on smooth and look clean. I looked online and this eyeliner comes in 5 different colours so there are a few options if you’re big on eyeliners.

Ipsy Pixi Flawless and Poreless

Pixi Flawless & Poreless Primer – $14.50 for 15ml: I’ve been looking for a good primer so this came at the perfect time. It’s oil free and hypoallergenic which is so important with skincare. The reviews I’ve read online for this are really great!

Ipsy Coastal Scents Palette

Coastal Scents Shadow Palette – approx $4.00 for sample palette: I’m not familiar with Coastal Scents, but I do love me a simmer shadow. This sample set is ‘In the Spotlight’ and contains Dark Goldenrod, Sunbeam, Golden Globe, and Dark Golden Olive.

Ipsy MyGlam bags are $10.00 (plus $4.95 for shipping to Canada) each month. The total of all the products in this month’s bag is $74.79. $75 worth of products for 10 bucks?! Holy meatballs, now we’re talking. I’m excited to give all these products a try and will definitely be taking next month’s bag.

What did you think of this month’s Ipsy MyGlam?
